Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 17, 2026

AMI Event Designers ("AMI," "we," "us," "our") operates as a travel agency and event designer arranging cruises, destination weddings, corporate events, wellness retreats, and group travel. Where applicable, bookings are made through our host agency and the relevant supplier (cruise line, hotel, airline, tour operator). These Terms govern your use of our website, services, and bookings.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By using our website, requesting a proposal, paying a deposit, or booking any trip or event with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. If you are booking on behalf of a group, you represent that you have authority to bind every traveler in your group to these Terms.

2. Our Role as Your Agent

AMI acts as an independent agent that arranges travel with third-party suppliers (cruise lines, hotels, airlines, tour operators, transportation companies, and excursion vendors). We do not own, operate, or control these suppliers. Each supplier's own terms, conditions, and liability limitations apply to the portion of your trip they provide. AMI is not liable for the acts, omissions, delays, or cancellations of third-party suppliers.

We hold accreditation where applicable (e.g. IATA/CLIA/ARC and a host-agency relationship) and book your travel through the appropriate channels.

3. Bookings, Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and are subject to change until a deposit is received and confirmed. Quoted prices are based on availability and supplier rates at the time of booking; fuel surcharges, taxes, port charges, gratuities, and fees may be additional unless expressly stated as included.

  • Deposits: A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space. The deposit amount is shown on your proposal or booking page.
  • Final payment: The balance is due by the final-payment date communicated to you. If full payment is not received by that date, the supplier may cancel your reservation and keep your deposit.
  • Card processing fee: Card payments made through Stripe include a 4% processing fee so that AMI receives the full advertised price; this fee is non-refundable.
  • Other methods: Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, and wire instructions may be offered — your deposit confirms our receipt of those funds.

By paying through our site you consent to the transaction as described, to the 4% card-processing fee where applicable, and to our Privacy Policy.

4. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

Cancellation terms are governed by the specific supplier's policy and the cancellation schedule provided in your proposal, contract, or booking confirmation. As a general rule:

  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable).
  • Refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you cancel relative to departure and on the supplier's published schedule — closer to departure means less refund.
  • Deposits and payments remitted to suppliers (cruise lines, hotels, etc.) are subject to those suppliers' refund rules, which may be more restrictive than ours.
  • The 4% card-processing fee is non-refundable.
  • Name changes, cabin changes, and itinerary changes may incur supplier change fees.
  • We strongly recommend travel insurance, which may cover cancellation for covered reasons.

5. Travel Documents & Guest Responsibilities

It is the traveler's sole responsibility to carry valid identification and travel documents, including a passport (valid for at least six months beyond your return date), required visas, vaccinations, and any health certificates. AMI is not liable for denied boarding, entry, or re-entry due to missing or invalid documents. You agree to provide accurate guest information (legal name, date of birth, passport details) in a timely manner so we can complete your booking.

8. Assumption of Risk & Liability

Travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to accident, illness, injury, loss of property, delays, weather disruptions, and political or health events. You assume all such risks. AMI, its owners, employees, and agents are not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or expense arising from the acts of suppliers, third parties, or forces beyond our control (force majeure). To the maximum extent permitted by law, AMI's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount of commissions or service fees we received on your booking.

9. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and lost baggage. AMI does not provide insurance and is not an insurer; insurance is a contract between you and the insurer.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, except where a supplier contract requires otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
